FAQs

  • How long does it take for anti-wrinkle injections to work?

The effects will begin to show within 2 days and will continue to improve over the next 2 weeks. By the 2-week mark, the full results will be visible. A complimentary review is recommended at this time to ensure you're fully satisfied with your results.

  • Do anti-wrinkle injections hurt?

We use a very small needle with a superficial injection technique, so the procedure itself is comfortable and is best described as a small scratch sensation.

  • How often can you have anti-wrinkle injections?

If injecting the same area, you can safely book in for anti-wrinkle injections every 3 months.

  • Is there a lot of down time with anti-wrinkle injections?

Possible lumps and bumps where the product has been administered will subside within 4 hours. It is uncommon but possible that bruising may appear within 24 hours. It is advised that you avoid laying down for 4 hours and no rubbing of the area for 8 hours. After 24 hours you can return to normal activities such as exercise and applying makeup

  • Am I a good candidate for anti-wrinkle injections?

In order to determine this we will go through your medical history to ensure there is no contraindications and discuss your main concerns to ensure this treatment is best aligned with your goals.

  • How long does it take for dermal fillers to work?

Dermal fillers work immediately. You will notice the results instantly, alongside possible swelling. After 2 weeks any lumps and bumps will subside, and the dermal filler will soften further by integrating with surrounding facial tissue.

  • How long do Dermal fillers last?

Dermal fillers will last anywhere between 3 months to 24 months. Results are all dependant on how quickly your body choses to metabolise the product in addition to which area we’ve injected. For some, we build the product up over a series of treatments.

  • Do Dermal fillers hurt?

We apply a topical numbing cream to subside most discomfort. The product itself also includes a numbing agent, thus as the treatment goes on, the more numbing is provided. A very small needle is used to inject, and a slow, gentle technique is applied. Some treatments require a blunt cannula, for safety, which is non-invasive and almost pain free. .

  • How often can you have Dermal fillers?

If we’re building up volume slowly, sometimes it’s best to carry this out over several treatments, which can be as often as every 8 weeks. If desired effects have been achieved from one session, typically you won’t need to return for at least 6 months.

  • Is there a lot of down time with Dermal filler injections?

Swelling is very common with dermal fillers. This will subside within 4-5 days and completely diminish within 2 weeks. Brusing and tenderness is common, especially more so with vascular areas such as lips. It is advised that you avoid heated activities, alcohol and smoking for 48 hours. After 24 hours you can introduce gentle exercise and application of usual products. You cannot fly for 2 weeks post treatment.

  • Can I book in for several treatments at the same time?

For the most part, yes! Most treatments typically compliment one another and usually align perfectly; however some treatments cannot be administered on the same day in the same area.

If you’re a good candidate, Vitamin injections can be administered alongside any other treatment to boost results and longevity.

If you’re unsure of what you can and can’t do simultaneously, book in for your complimentary consultation so you can be best advised on which treatment(s) can be performed together.
